I don't want to rebuild the EU. I want something in its place that recognises the interests of the nation states.

Surly you you can see by now that the EU doesn't recognise the interests of Nation states only what it considers is best for the EU! The very fact that every Nation State has to obey every diktat that comes from an unelected commission sitting in Brussels has to be wrong! The EU is the Soviet Union by another name!
