I can state quite catergorcilly that no strong complaint has ever been made to the Committee about Mr Mote.

As 'Populist Lee' does little to conceal, he is Lee Consterdine, Treasurer of the British Weights and Measures Association for the past 2/3 years or so.

In that capacity, he has made a number of inaccurate and/or contentious statements on this thread over the past few days concerning BWMA matters, one of them being his false claim above.

In truth, a BWMA member *did* make a vigorous complaint about the disgraced Ashley Mote, the matter *was* considered by the BWMA Committee, and on top of that it **was Lee Consterdine himself** who replied to the member in the following terms (I know this because the member concerned has confirmed this to me in writing in the past few days):

"Dear BWMA Member [name withheld]

I noted your comment in reference to Ashley Mote MEP and I passed this on to the Committee on 16th September. The Committee's consencus [sic] is that Mr Mote has offered to ask questions of the [European] Commission and push our (the BWMA) case to other quarters as well, and we would be daft not to use the assistance and the answers received before Mote's time is up next year".

Lee/Tony, Please be careful what you say about each other. None of the mods wants to get into a 'he said/she said' series of complaints, nor do we want to get involved in the internal politics of BWMA.

If either of you has proof of something please copy it into the thread. If you're not able, or unwilling, to support an allegation at this time please don't make it.

Lee, IMHO, and I am so biased that it is unbelievable, that you should not use a convicted fraudster to further your aims. There are 11 unconvicted MEPs elected on the UKIP ticket, you would be better using their good efforts.

As you can see on another new thread, Mr Mote has had his application to the European Court of Justice thrown out with costs against him. He is being pursued by myself and others for substantial sums. Mote has been proved by an English court to be a rogue and a charlatan. There is more to come in the next few months as he wriggles to get out of yet more legal actions. I have a stack of evidence that I am hanging on to until my court case is complete one way or another; some of it is part of my case. The evidence proves, yet again, that Mote is a fibber. Why you would want someone who is described by his own counsel as 'a Walter Mitty character' as your advocate I do not know, but I think less of the BWMA as a result.

REPLY: Earlier in this thread, I posted an extract from a recent letter by a BWMA member, dealing with the issue of whether or not BWMA is associated with Ashley Mote. I quoted this extract from his letter:

"I **complained strongly to the Committee** about BWMA`s association with this convicted criminal...He now runs down his former UKIP MEP colleagues whenever he can and sucks up to the only friends he has, in the BWMA...I have been a member of BWMA for many years, but if Mote is a member and they continue to use him I shall have to 'consider my position'. The man is a liar and a cheat. BWMA should have nothing to do with him".

Lee Consterdine (Populist Lee) responded as follows:

"This is not what the original sender of the email wrote. Why is it now different? I **can state quite categorically that no strong complaint has ever been made to the Committee about Mr Mote**".

Lee Consterdine thus publicly contradicted the BWMA member's claim that he had made a strong complaint and furthermore gave viewers of this Forum the distinct impression that no complaint had ever been made to the BWMA Committee.

Clearly a strong complaint *was* made to the BWMA Committee, for as we now know, Lee Consterdine *himself* wrote back to the BWMA member concerned, saying:

Lee Consterdine has now admitted on the record that he wrote those words, so we now know that the BWMA Committee did not uphold that member's complaint, but rather felt they "would be daft not to use the assistance and the answers received before Mote's time is up next year".

This is not about 'BWMA politics'. Lee contradicted the member's letter, and suggested by implication that the BWMA Committee had never considered its relationship with Mote.

We now know otherwise., as I have brought the facts on to here, namely Lee Consterdine's own written note to the member concerned.

As I say the author did not write "the Committee" in his email.

And as you know I have sent copies of the original email to the appropriate people.
