QUOTE]I am watching the olympics and noticed how much hype there is around this Lithuanian girl who has won the gold medal at 15. The BBC have been going on about her for the last three hours.[/QUOTE]

Oh, what a surprise, left wing is 'in the very fabric of the BBC' yeah, a fliipn scientific front runner that put electromagnetic waves into peoples houses in the 30's, then was nationalised, then politicised....now a hot bed of left wing shyte, of course they would do anything but bleat about the indiginous population, as the I.P does not vote Labour.

I think the BBC gradually became Left-wing by a series of "moods". First starting off with people with a sense of Fair Play(40-50's), later by "nice" people who wer repulsed by Racism and some injustices in the World (60's), setting up a reformist agenda which went further and further Left, John Pilger made good programs once, (70's) and was exploited later by the Left, then the left just went in for blatant Left-wing program and entry-ism, and the BBC became a £4 Billion Propaganda Machine for the Left..

Derbyshire has been banging on about her again! She claims people consider her "one of ours"!
Oh really Victoria, do they? Or would that just be Beeboids?

Why would normal Brits consider her so, especially when she has clearly declared she is not?

She competes for Lithuania even tough she has lived here for a few years now, uses British facilities to train, has a British coach and her dad has been given a job here. Yet she competes for Lithuania because she is "extremely" pround about being Lithuanian.

The success of the British athletes has not been that impressive so far so the media has to resort to praising those who live in Britain and have succeeded. However, she is 15, I don't know how old she was when she moved to the UK but my guess is that she doesn't remember a lot about living in Lithuania.

Btw, Latvia and Lithuania are the two European countries with the highest proportional emigration-rate. Both countries lose well over 1% of their population to emigration every year. The serious part of it all that those who leave tend to be mostly those of the economically active age, ie people whose contribution could come handy in their home-countries as well.
