Maybe so, but what does Plaid and the Welsh people say?

MOD would rather not as they fear that after the Scots choosing independence, Wales would follow and they would need to be moved again.

The only suitable port in England is Plymouth, however it is overcrowded and has no storage facilities.

If Westminster choose to keep the nukes, do the Welsh, like the Scots, say it is a Westminster problem?
I'd bet that the nuclear submarine fleet will stay at Faslane. In a few years when Salmond has gone and all this nonsense about independence is little more than a memory the Scots will wonder what all the fuss was about.
It is not racist to be concerned about immigration.

AGAIN, not an an answer to the question posed in the thread in response to the Welsh FM, regarding, IS HE SPEAKING FOR the people of Wales?

Enough already from the "nimbies" who would see them based anywhere other than Plymouth; the only suitable alternative in rUK.

We know you want them, but NOT in your back yard. Like all things union, you simply do not have a clue.

LOL, not even an informed rant.

Are you aware how many people depend on Faslane for their livelihood?

A great deal far fewer than those who would depend on Faslane being the main port for a Scottish Navy, being the home port of around 20-25 Ships plus support vessels and our own 2-5 conventional submarines.

You still don't get it, and you have still to answer the question asked in the thread.

You are not even volunteering Plymouth......

The what! the Scottish Navy! lolol, superb. Good man, at least you have a sense of humour.

Even conservative estimates say that around 10,000 people depend on Faslane for a job in an area where unemployment is at 10%. And the SNP want Faslane to close! Salmond is asking a lot of people to pay a very high price in order to realise what is little more than a political vanity project.

When you are wrong, just admit you are wrong.

The SNP do not wish to close Faslane.

Faslane will be the home port for the Scottish Navy, what part of that do you NOT understand?

According to a parliamentary answer by Geoff Hoon on 21st February 2005 ‘The number of civilian jobs which directly depend upon the Trident programme is estimated to 936 in Scotland... The number of civilian jobs which indirectly rely on the Trident programme is estimated to be 300 in Scotland.’
If you wish to have informed debate, get yourself informed.....

You have to laugh at them Scotitch – not as much as Senor and Senorita Gonzales and their pet Llama did when they routed the "Scotitch Navy" in Panama though.

The Scotitch just have to poke their snouts into everyone else’s affairs asking daft questions, inflicting unwanted opinions and being generally obstructive - they have NO sense of seemliness: it’s no wonder the Welch won’t entertain them - no one else does!

Yep, we'd be happy with it, especially with the well paid jobs that would come with it.
