Not normal. But it is normal for most Third World parents to see corporal punishment as a desirable and acceptable form of discipline. There is no *psychology* used when it comes to child rearing, it is absolute *do as you are told*.

She blamed it on her hormones, so it obviously has nothing to do with having a bad temper, a violent nature, being a psychotic *****, or general Islamic attitudes towards violence and the disciplining of children. Poor woman was driven to beat her offspring with a steel ladle for 45 minutes due to stress and hormones.

My heart as I'm sure everyones, goes out to her.

Hey, they even murder their children if they bring shame to Islam. What I don't understand though, is their interpretation of the word 'shame'

They rarely respond to honest probing questions. Clearly, they'd be hard put to offer any kind of sensible explanation for this type of behaviour because there isn't one!
Magwash - how is my spamming?

Meanwhile, Magwash & co continue to avoid questions, but carry on with the "cut n past" campaign. Sad people.!

It would be nice to have a straight answer, but the reality is that (as you say) they are sad people who lack the brains to give a straight answer. However, the lack of an answer suggests that it is normal procedure.
