The Greens And The Yes Campaign

An article in today's Sunday Herald states that the Greens are unhappy with what they see as SNP domination of the Yes campaign http://www.heraldscotland.com/politi...paign.17824783 They are going to look again at the decision to step away in October.
The SNP is bound to take the leading role, it is after all the largest grouping on the Yes side, but there seems to be a risk of a split before the campaign really gets going. It will be ridiculous to have two factions fighting for a Yes vote. Interestingly the anti Independence 'Scotsman' does not carry this story.

The Greens have moved quickly to distance the party from the story. http://newsnetscotland.com/index.php...scotland-split The Herald article would seem to be just another anti Independence story without evidence to support it. Only this time it was trying to sow the seeds of disunity in the Yes ranks.

As expected, the Scotsman couldn't resist their fix of Nat bashing http://www.scotsman.com/news/politic...ommentsSection Now Margo McDonald is part of the story.
Margo is still pro-Independence, and that is very unlikely to change, as is Patrick Harvie. Yet the unionists seek to portray the doubts of these people, at the running of the Yes campaign, as a break up. That somehow leading Independistas have changed their minds on the National question, for example Ruth Davidson is quoted in the article saying "Once again, the SNP have been caught out trying to hoodwink voters into thinking there is broad support for separation".
The idea of a broad campaign will be lost if the Nationalists alienate parties and individuals as is being suggested in this latest attack on the movement. It is, however, early days and I'm sure that any problems that occur will be ironed out.

I would be quite shocked if the Greens did not like the SNP they gave confidence and supply to an SNP minority administration for 4 years between 2007-2011. There are bound to be scare stories affecting both sides and I think on balance there seems little in this one.

There were no votes of confidence in the SNPs 1st term As for supply the Greens did not always back the Nationalists as this article shows http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-12278203 from which a quote:

I think the two parties get on as well as can be expected - both obviously support Independence and the SNPs renewables credentials endear it to the Greens.

My apologies on that I understood there was a deal similar to that struck by Mr Major and Mr Molyneaux in the 1990s at Westminister, I was aware of Tory support on occasion for the minority SNP administration it is certain the two parties as you say get on well, in fact Mr Salmond since becoming first minister has adopted a very pragmatic approach towards co-operation with other parties and seeked to foster good relations with Westminister, and that is to his credit.
