    I was talking to an American friend who told me he was reading a novel called The Red Badge Of Courage. He asked me what my favourite British patriotic novel was. I was at a loss for an answer. Have you a favourite patriotic book?

    I've known some Marxists I would consider good Englishmen. I think they would have loved a Socialist England even more
