Disgusting thread. 'Asians'. Pffft. What a crass, pathetic generalisation. I do laugh when bigots use the term Asian to describe their brown skinned enemies. Sort of blows apart their 'anti Islam - it's a religion not a race!' argument. A bit like when lefties slip out the word 'JEW' when having a go at their favourite hobby, Zionism.

This site really does sail close to the wind of taste of decency in public debate.

Take it up with the powers that be.

"Asian' is the term used by the authorities when performing their ethnic monitoring activities, as well as the census. It's also used by the police when compiling statistics on crime, as in the so-called '4+1' system: White, Black, Asian, Mixed and Other.

So, because they use stupid pigeon hole terms like that, you think it's OK for people on the hard right to use those terms? How does that work then?

It's difficult to see how any activity which entails sorting people into racial 'buckets' can avoid such terms, unless we revert to a scientifically-based taxonomic naming system like Eickstedt and Peters' Trivialnamen.

I don't like or very much agree with ethnic minority questionnaires and other such forms which people are asked to fill in. They are voluntary at present, and sometimes come with the 'this is only for monitoring purposes' tag. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future, they are not voluntary, and they are not just for monitoring purposes. I dislike the idea of the state having this much power in obtaining information which I regard is questonable and political in nature. I also see race as largely irrelevant, certainly as far as the state should be concerned.

Therefore, I would have hoped that people in agreement with this sentiment would not run off and use the same tactics and behaviours as the idiots in government.

Describing a bad bunch of people in terms of them being Asian; saying such and such a problem is an 'asian' problem, is idiotic in the extreme. Only a dupe or moron could possibly see the world through this lense.

The notion that race is "largely irrelevent" is a purely political notion, with no basis in scentific fact. All the evidence, in fact, points the other way. If we ignore race, we will never find a solution.

I will ignore all your baseless, ignorant, stupid remarks from now on. Your racist, bigoted, incendiary avatar says everything I need to know about you. I don't even need to read your posts to bother assessing what garbage you're coming out with next. Please do not address me again, I don't want to have yet another shower before I go to bed.

Put your hands over your ears and shout "RAAAACISSST" as much as you like. The issue can't be suppressed any more.

Is that what you pictured me doing?
    How deluded.

Anyway, as I requested, do not address me again.

    Thanks.

Beginning in the mid-60s the state has taken upon itself an ever-expanding mission to actively pursue 'racial equality' in all aspects of national life so it should come as little surprise that it should need to perform extensive ethnic monitoring in support of that objective. Far from being voluntary, all 50,000-odd public authorities are required to perform such activities as part of their statutory duty to promote 'racial equality'.
