Matthew Woodward: EDL unveil their latest paedophile
In a week where EDL leader Tommy Robinson was caught trying to chat up a schoolgirl on Twitter and the North West Infidels have vowed to stand by their latest child groomer, an English Defence League member has been up in court on child abuse charges.
Matthew Stephen Raymond Woodward pleaded guilty to 15 charges of level one child pornography featuring kids age 10 to 15 and one level 4 video of a 13 year old. He also faced charges of trying to solicit a 13 year old girl for pornographic photographs.
Woodward was fined £700 and received 120 hours of community service.
Charges were also pressed for child abduction when he was said to have planned the kidnap of his ex girlfriend's baby but they were thrown out of court due to lack of evidence.
According to some EDL members, Woodward has been on a number of demonstrations with the far right organisation's Deeside Division. He is currently living in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire.
The English Defence League have recently announced a demonstration in Rochdale on the 16th July to protest against Asian paedophiles but they are yet to hold a demonstration against white paedophiles.
The EDL has been rocked with child abuse scandals since they formed. Last year leadership were caught trying to cover up for one of their founding members, Richard Price and later in the year Brett Moses, a security guard in Hull, was given a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after earlier pleading guilty to sexual grooming. 37 year old Moses flew to Canada in order to groom a 13 year old. Also last year, former EDL member, Micheal Coates was jailed for six years after pleading guilty to eight charges of indecent assault and two of attempted rape in relation to one girl and a further four offences of indecent assault in relation to a second.
