WE will find out in the next hour or two just how seriously Kirklees Council and the police take deliberate and determined subversion of British democracy – I refer of course to electoral fraud in the Muslim enclave of Savile Town. From 1-3pm senior council and police officers were in a room with ex-councillor Khizar Iqbal and senior Conservative Robert Light discussing what I understand to be 13 confirmed reports of election fraud, allegedly carried out on behalf of the Labour Party in that ward. I won't name names because I hate funding BLFFs – that's ******* Lawyers' Ferrari Funds if you must know.
I further understand that although the police managed to ******** up the first reports of election fraud two weeks ago – leaving the evidence in situ long enough that the complainants got cold feet and destroyed it – there are other instances that won't be quite so easy to wriggle away from. I have heard that at least two formal witness statements have been given. As we used to say when putting an armlock or half nelson on bullied kids in the playground – get out of that without moving!
And finally I am told that allegations of systemic fraud and corruption involving significant amounts of Kirklees funding dating back a number of years were on the agenda. I shall let you know as soon as I hear!

THE verdict is in. British democracy takes second place to Muslim community sensitivities. Senior Kirklees Division police and Council Chief Executive Adrian Lythgo this afternoon REFUSED to act despite acknowledging overwhelming evidence of systemic voting fraud in the Savile Town Muslim community. Elections Officer Susan Hudson reported "scores" of postal vote applications in the same handwriting even before local Councillor Khizar Iqbal complained about door to door abuse of the process.
At a meeting today a senior Kirklees detective said they were not pursuing the matter because there was no way of identifying the culprits. There was no mention of whether or not he then requested a bowl of water a la Pontius Pilate and washed his hands. He wouldn't have though – that might have offended Islamic sensitivities too.

Police and Lythgo acknowledged that dozens – at least - of the postal votes cast were for people in Pakistan, both when the applications were made and the votes cast from Savile Town. Winning Labour candidate Abdul Patel's house was searched and he has allegedly admitted distributing "hundreds" of postal vote applications and further of collecting them from people's houses. Patel says he posted them, although at least one complainant's vote was never received.
Once again, Kirklees Council and Kirklees Police have swept criminal activity under the table in the name of a quiet life. When will someone hold these people – the police and Adrian Lythgo – accountable for their actions? You can hardly blame the criminals if they are sent the unequivocal message that corruption is ok. Because there can be no other explanation. The Press newspaper will ask these questions very publicly next week....
