    Default EDL terrorizes family.....

Twelve EDL supporters convicted over protest outside Muslim MEP's home

    Thursday, April 26, 2012
EDL protestors outside Sajjad Karim's home
A politician's eight-year-old daughter was "petrified" when anti-Islamic protesters marched into the garden of their home with banners and banged on the window.
Lancashire MEP Sajjad Karim's home was targeted by the English Defence League (EDL) as part of a day of protests against "radical Islam" in the county on July 2 last year. Speaking from Brussels, Mr Karim, who was due to give evidence, said: "It is not the sort of thing any child should ever have to be prepared for."
Twelve admitted public order offences at Preston Crown Court and will be sentenced on May 25.
Bernard Holmes, 26, of Bolton Road; Leonard Hawley, 47, of Worcester Road; David Wilson, 47, of Devon Road, all Blackburn, and Jason Smith, 43, of Torquay Avenue, Burnley pleaded guilty to racially aggravated provocation of violence while David Garrett, 45, of Beckett Street, Darwen, admitted having an offensive weapon.
Leanne Thornton, 26, of Oak Avenue, Todmorden; Graham Smith, 48, of Draperfield, Chorley; Paul Blundell, 45, of Lee Street, Longridge, John English, 24, of Shorrock Lane, Blackburn; Martin Corner, 31, of Corporation Street, Chorley; Jordan Lonsdale, 20, of Ribble Lane, Clitheroe, and Paul Jackson, 41, of Spring Bank Terrace, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to violent disorder but admitted using threatening behaviour.
Sajjad Karim added: "To be afraid to leave ones house as a mob fuelled by hate protests outside is as frightening as it gets. They showed no regard to the fact my wife and daughter were at home. It left me hoping and praying that our four walls would keep us safe and you can’t begin to imagine how my young daughter felt.
"There were many more innocent people caught up in their violence that day and I am thankful this eleventh hour change of plea means they won’t have to relive their ordeal in a courtroom. We have not and will not allow such mobs to use their threatening ways to hound people in our society."
Lancashire Evening Post, 26 April 2012

Bwana, I know what you are trying to do. Anyway, I did move it across but then thought better. Do you have any comment/opinion to add or are you just being a news service? Personally think that it quite correct that they were arrested.

Sure they are ... they are not content with the MDL section, because the truth of their actual intent is what they are hiding by posting copy and pastes onto this section. If rumours are to be believed, the EDL section should actually cease to exist and then it is game on with the UAF and their masters, the islamists, versus a moderate political party. Time to choose sides folks.

Have a look at what really happened and that the police officer at the time had no problem, no laws were broken and no one was terrorised. The policeman even radioed in to get confirmation that it was legal and you can hear the EDL guy with the camera saying that he couldn't point it at the house windows because it was an invasion of privacy. You'll find this clip very different to what is reported.

Obviously after the event, this Asian MEP got the support of the local press all of which I believe is part of the Trinity Mirror group (Lefty), got the 'community' whipped up and the police were under pressure to do something.

A picture paints a thousand words, and I will confess to finding the clip somewhat different from the newspaper. Terrorize might not be quite the appropriate word in the OP, but I can well imagine that the 8yo daughter was petrified. I am not sure of the wisdom of turning up to a MEPs house like this.

Is it against the site's terms and conditions for what he has done ?

This arbitrary rule you seem to have made up, is quite petty. If the posters on the EDL board are excitable... why should that concern you ? It's not your problem... it's theirs. Seems you are being a nanny to them to keep them calm. Thats not your job, if I may say so. If they want to react and comment on the cut/pastes... let them do it... it's their right and they should be allowed to. If the cut and pastes are being divisive... why should that matter to you ? If the posting creates a hullabaloo why is that a problem ?

There is really no rhyme or genuine reason for your arbitrary rule regarding cut and pastes. If people dont like them.. they ignore... they are not children.. where you need to protect them.
