And no matter how many properties become available in Park Lane, they still won't be affordable by many workers.

Each case should be dealt with on its merits rather than this blanket policy which also covers low paid workers.
They should not be moved to Stoke on Trent. London boroughs should set up Caravan sites for these families. They should be given plenty of warning and left to find their own homes on the open market. If they fail to do so, obviously deliberately, then they should be given only a caravan, in London still but in the less desirable parts not prime rela estate in Chelsea or Westminster or even Lambeth or Wandsworth!

When my mum used to work in housing (not London) all their homeless families got one offer only, the least desirable homes, and if they turned them down they were put on the council caravan site to wait their turn on the list (maybe years). There was no incentive to make yourself homeless, it was a bad option.

That would only be a problem if it was reducing the number of employed people in Stoke. Having lots of unemployed people in one area will at least makes them feel like they are all in it together.

That sounds good to me. All we need to do is form a political party, win the election and we are home free.

You can take over Eric Pickles job. Francis can take over from Damian Green. I would be happy to take over George Osborne's job as long as I could do it part time. Not sure who should be PM though.

So provided the riot police are much more vigorous than they were last year, we can kill 2 birds with one stone.

There are nowhere near enough police to handle serious civil unrest.

We were only talking about Stoke. I'm sure there are plenty of riot police to deal with them.

You don't know much about Stokies, do you? They're radio rental and more than a match for the riot police.

It will not be confined to Stoke when it kicks off.
