Default Stoke BNP leader in court

Former councillor Michael Coleman, leader of the Stoke BNP group, appeared in North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court yesterday on two charges of "racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress caused by words or writing between August 2011 and March 2012."

The story appears in today's Stoke Sentinel at http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk...ail/story.html

He requested a crown court trial, and his case will appear for committal at Stoke Crown Court on May 24th.

I understand that the charges relate to Mr Coleman's website at http://stokepatriot.blogspot.co.uk

(Though of course some or all of the particular articles complained of may no longer be online.)

Though we were on opposite factional sides, I found Mr Coleman to be among his party's most intelligent and committed activists. I'm sure all sections of the movement will wish him victory in this case, which demonstrates that despite the terminal decline of the BNP, our political establishment remains terrified of those who dare to challenge the multiracial hegemony.

I looked at his site and he is very rabidly anti Muslim and feverishly pro-Christian. If I were BNP leader I would not allow this Christian Zionist type bilge. Is it even true where he says some Muslim terrorists were known to be planning to bomb pubs where Stoke BNP hold meetings? Surely the party leadership would want to make this more widely known if it was true - if not the mainstream media.

This Christinsanity nonsense agenda is not what the BNP should be about at all and it will cause all kinds of stupid agro.
    You're like so totally whatever!

I agree – but where Cllr Coleman or other BNPers are wrong they should be argued with, not prosecuted.

Yes certainly - but the State smells blood and they only want to harm us.

We need to know exactly what words are in the charges. It's all very subtle the POA. Abusive threatening insulting - in the NORMAL MEANING of words.

You say 'Muslims may bomb us'. They say they are insulted. Offence or no offence?

The state is trying to keep the lid on by silencing comment as in the rightly unsuccessful prosecution of Griffin. Weakness not strength.

You have to understand the arrogant mindset of politicians. They think they are wonderful and we should be grateful and are. Thus discontent can only be the work of a tiny handful of 'extremists'. Send the police in!!!

What you are advocating in the above is called democracy, if we had democracy that is what would happen. We have politically correct rule, it is non-negotiable Asian claptrap originating with Red Sea Pedestrians!

LAF. I had a glance as well and as far as I'm concerned I agree with his mind-set, (and I'm agnostic). It's his blog and he's entitled to his opinion whether or not some Nationalists have no leaning toward the National religion.
