You are right - gun crime has risen because the Establishment wants us to be scared of criminals. The only solution is to remove unlawful restrictions on the private ownership of firearms for the purpose of self-defence. If more middleclass (white, black, Asian etc) people had guns, then there would be fewer violent crimes. Decent family people would be able to travel at night without fear of being attacked.

Of course no political party will touch this issues, that's because ALL political parties have been infiltrated by the Establishment. I'm a paid up member of UKIP who isn't naive to think otherwise. I would say that even my church (LDS) has been infiltrated at certain levels. The fact is that good UKIP members and citizens of Britain have a duty to promote the truth. So what if I've been banned from UKIP forum. I always knew that I would be banned at some point. Again, UKIP has been infiltrated. UKIP forum members are largely socialists and trouble makers. There are a few good people there, but they are slowly being driven away by outrageous censorship that goes on in that closed forum.

Please Scotland, just go independent and take Kris with you.

    Thanks
Damaging state property will be punished to the maximum extent allowed by law. You are property of the state.

Clearly there is a libertarian case to be made against restrictions on gun ownership, and in the interests of free debate I'm glad that you make that case. However, if you want to find out what might happen if those restrictions are removed, it is easy to look at the USA. I don't see the gun-owning states there as being particularly peaceful or crime free. In particular, gun-related deaths and injuries are many, many times the levels seen in the UK.

The U.S. city to have seen big drops in crime over recent decades has been New York City, but New York has pretty strict gun controls.

If you want to argue that all restrictions on personal liberty are unjust, well, that's one thing. But to argue that gun controls should be abolished because this will reduce levels of violent crime seems to fly completely in the face of observable facts.

    of course...
criminals would approach a victem from the frotn with no weapon of their own and wait to be shot if they knew that they were most likely to have a gun on them...

Kris, its been pointed out many times on the ukip forum how stupid this idea is.
    changing forums wont change results.

Now the media is becoming all hysterical about Pippa and firearms. An opportunity for UKIP to comment in defence of defensive weapons?

I don't see any firearms either. That makes my point even more valid. Anti-gun hysteria is being created by the terrorist establishment even when there is no gun involved!
