Mr. Kweli and Ms. Williams were inciting violence and a race riot. Yet, Attorney General Eric Holder refuses to file charges against the New Black Panthers. This is the same Mr. Holder who dropped the case against members of the Black Panthers for their flagrant intimidation of voters at a Philadelphia poll in the 2008 election. He has told staffers at the Justice Department that he will not prosecute black civil rights abuses perpetrated on white victims. Under his leadership, justice is not blind; rather, it is viewed through a racialist lens.

Note that there is no suggestion in the article of Farrakhan-style understanding of the Chosen as racial enemies. Instead the article suggests Blacks behave like the pawns they are supposed to.

Yet, when it comes to Mr. Obama, the press corps has been largely silent. The reason is simple and pernicious: When it comes to race, there is a blatant double standard. White racism is condemned; black racism is excused.

The inverted commas around "KKK" are because the Washington Post chose to COMPARE the New Black Panthers to the KKK. The implication is that if you thought the KKK were evil, well have a look at the threat from these Blacks - and they point out that those who think only Whites are "racist" will do nothing to stop that lot.

But I do suspect that the account is somewhat influenced by the fact a General Election is now on in the US and this would serve as an anti-Obama piece in the Washington Post.

Also, these New Black Panthers, to the extent that they are "Islamist" should be regarded as dangerous to Jews surely. And yet there is no mention of that aspect in the article.

There is a lot of deviousness both in such writings and in the ways in which violent groups are being guided/goaded by invisible hands.

Is this supposed to indicate that the Washington Times story is nothing but a loony conspiracy? All I did was to be duly alarmed after reading it. Why do you feel that alarm is so completely misplaced?

I am not alarmed by the article, it seems to describe the normal ebb and flow of racial tensions, nothing out of the ordinary, it certainly didn't conjure up images of machetes and heads, at it did with you (are machetes a normal weapon in America, or is it just your feverish imagination?).

There was no insult above either, you're just setting the stage for a bit of high-horsemanship. Calm down dear.

Recently, on their radio show. the New Black Panthers called for a race war. In an April 6 broadcast, Chawn Kweli, the party’s national spokesman, said that “true revolution means some bloodshed.” In particular, he championed the racial cleansing of American whites.

“And there are those who wish they could stand in this hour, to see the destruction of the devil’s world and the devil’s society …” Mr. Kweli said. “I’m talking about that blond-haired, blue-eyed, sometimes brown-eyed Caucasian walking around with a mind-set, a demonistic mind-set, and a nature to do evil and brutality.”
