I notice Lolkiten has voted to legalise same sex marriage but voted against legalisation of polygamy.
On what moral or logical basis could you support same sex marriage but oppose polygamy?

What a strange post. How can two men consummate a marriage?

Yes, in a free society we should allow equality to all members of society.

Polygamy seems exploitative to me, it'd be pretty easy for rich men to start collecting poor trophy wives as chattels, while same disapproving of sex marriage seems to be the view of people like longjohn who feel the state should pass judgement on what people enjoy doing with their anatomy. Does that make sense?

No because rich men can pick up "a poor trashy wife" now.
Do you think women do not have their own mids and can be exploited easly?

Rich women could collect trophy husbands too.
Polygamy requires the consent of both parties, what's the problem.

With polygamy they could get five of them, which would lead us towards the same sort of issues the one child policy has created in China, wouldn't it? I wouldn't call Gold diggers exploited...

At present much of Europe has a falling birthrate.
    This could restore the balance.
Even with polygamy as seen with the Mormons it would not lead to massive population growth but atleast some thing like the normal rates we had in the past.
It could mean children are brought up in much more stable and decent homes too.
