"They tried and tried to get hold of Rhea Page and bully her into condemning the EDL in Leicester but they failed.

The bottom line is, we dont need the approval or even the support of the victims of these vicious racist attacks against our people in order to hold a demo. We are quite entitled to be outraged and demo anywhere we see fit. Bullying the families wont stop us. We demo where we want. Simples."

Yeah a truely independent blog is that one? I'm disappoint with you Road_hog come back when you've got a genuine quote from the family.

Just goes to show the arrogance gits doen't really care about the victims or what the consquences of their actions will have on the local community, just has long has they get politcal capital out of the demo.

I am afraid you are wrong there Cally.

As far as I am aware, the EDL is non-political (at least at this stage). It is a single issue group whose supporters seem to be your average "bloke". I imagine if you asked them who they voted for, it wouldn't be BNP but more likely Labour, which presents a bit of a conundrum to your agreement that they are "far-right". Maybe you could explain what you think "far-right" means? If anything, Islam, which has its all powerful dictatorial figures controlling the masses to the n'th degree, could be considered to be the "far-right" in all of this.

Cally, it's no different to witnesses refusing to testify or turn up at a trial, because they have been 'got to'. Just because they deny anything happened, doesn't make the accused innocent.

Actually, Marshy (Joe Cardiff - Casuals United) has some spot on information. I certainly wouldn't quote it here and let myself be crucified for made up rubbish if it wasn't usually correct. It was his blog that was the first to expose the Liverpool alleged paedos.

May I point you in the direction of the DEMOS report on the EDL which states that 34% of the EDL supporters vote for the BNP and only 9% for Labour.

I come from a working class Labour background who were [very] unhappy with NuLabour and are far from happy with the Tories being back in. So Now Who Do We Vote For?: Amazon.co.uk: John Harris: 9780571224227: Books. - I read this during the McBlair years with great sadness.

Conspiracy again, it's common practice for this type of case to be tried in a different town/county.

OK, so a third vote for a "Far Right" party but that means (probably) that two thirds don't.

Would you though agree that Islam could be consider a totalitarian far right set up?
