Sorry, I can't agree with you. I feel absolutely no shame what so ever about "things" from the past. I had no involvement in them and what you feel shame for, happened, sometimes, 3 or 4 centuries ago. This collective responsibility rubbish is a dreadful leftie PC facet of modern society. I found the most pathetic example was apologising to some Muslims for the Crusades. Do you think we should demand an apology for the pillage of Britain via Danegeld, which started after the Battle of Maldon?
