Well since the victims don't know the attackers and did nothing to provoke them and since the police are treating this as a hate crime then one could guess that the sight of two young white English lads was enough for an Asian gang to:

1) Be racist and attack English people.

2) Attack English people when the odds were fair that they wouldn't get their butts handed to them.

They did take a risk, they attacked two English chaps when they were out numbered 8 to 2.... Luckily for them they were two very young English chaps and therefore managed to successfully beat the **** out of them.

Clearly they know how to pick their targets...

We all know if they had attacked two English 'men' they would all be in hospital and the government would be launching an inquiry!

I'm glad you recognise that racism works both ways, many people are simply concerned that TPTB do not think this is the case based on their previous form with such crimes where white English people are the victims.

Indeed, I think the fact the police are treating this incident as a hate crime is a departure from how they would usually treat this type of crime where the victim is white.
