Well, a couple of things. I did ask who the last English king was (remember this discussion started about kingdoms), not who you reckon the last ruler was.

It shows your lack of knowledge that you chose Cromwell as your answer to the question, because he spent a large part of his life fighting the monarchy (i.e. king). You couldn't have chosen a poorer example if you'd tried.

Well, some people are of the opinion he was the same as a king, without being called one. Actually, to be more accurate, his son Richard Cromwell was the last one. It could be argued he was more like a king as he inherited the role.

I've no idea how that will work out, but that is yr Fuhrer's plan according to his speech last week.
I know that, yet where did I state otherwise?

Did you know that within one year of an independent Scotland; if the SNP are that government, the Scottish people will decide on being a republic, or continue as a monarchy?

We Scots will be smart enough to choose. You will remain thick, as evidenced by your lack of comprehension...... or is it just because you want to pick a fight?

What an answer..... total 'shock and awe'.

Why should I hope, when Westminster no-longer calls the shots?

    ?
All your previous posts , indicated that you totally unaware what your leader stated. At no stage did you mention exactly what mr.Salmond said in respect to the Monarchy or what currency Scotch-land
    hope to use.

A Republic ? HAHAHAHA - dream on . I doubt its been mentioned as part of SNP 's plans. Is that part of your fantasy ? If not then pls provide a link to a reliably inteeligent source supporting your pie in the sky statements ?

btw - I sincerely wish the Scotch-Land would become a republic , and that we'd be rid of it - its become a liability.

Why? The opinion polls are showing support for Independence is lagging behind that for the status quo. So, it is going to be a hard slog ahead for the Yes campaign.

    No.

Not a gloat, those who have read my posts on here and CofSG can confirm that.

England's battle for self determination was handicapped from the get-go. It arrose as a reaction to devolution.

Westminster fears English nationalism. It (wrongly) thought it could contain Scottish nationalism. Therefore ....no threat to the gravy train. It now fears you....

One small bit of advice..... be a movement, not a party. Veto the State "plants" speak with one voice, save the politics for later. Scotland can be a party. England can't. There is the division of the leftist north and the rightist south for a start.

You need a proportionately elected parliament.... NOW.

You will end up with Westminster if you don't.

Reminder...... this is a matter alone for the people of England.
When the idea of a Scottish independence referendum was first mentioned I suggested that the English Nationalists cooperate with their Scottish counterparts, not a political allegiance, but more of showing of support and solidarity in their demands for the freedom of both nations and underlining Scotland's message to the British Government and pointing out, that like it or not, there was more hassle to come, and from closer to home. Chance of success? NIL, NONE, ZERO, ZILCH, absolutely bu99er all they have no concept of oneness, strength in numbers, etc only selfish grasping mini political A Holes. If you know what I mean.
