The SDP are a very small party. They have a few councillors near to Birmingham and a few in South Wales. We are hoping to build up the party by putting up candidates in council elections. If you would like to be a council candidate in your area see contact below.

    Butterfly effect

You are quite right the SDP has some elected councillors in Bridlington and South Wales. Bridlington is on the north east coast of England, and the nearest big city is York. It is the party leader Peter Johnson that lives in Birmingham, and some new SDP candidates are going to stand in Birmingham in May 2012, to try to help the SDP to grow.

Yes markf you are quite right. Not a lot of people actually know where Bridlington is because it is fairly small. I believe that York is the nearest big city to Bridlington.

    Election Expenses Forms

I would like to remind to all candidates and agents that the election expenses form must be completed for each candidate, and returned to the elections office regarding the May 2012 election.

And that an election expenses form is required even for a nil return.

Election agents should read the official notes by the Electoral Commission and here is the link.

On reading the regulations again, I now notice that the party name needs to be mentioned in the imprint, which is something new to me.

    Imprint should be:-

Printed by Jones Printers, 16 Castle Street, Bodmin, Cornwall PL31 2DU
Promoted by Jo Bloggs on behalf of UKIP both at
    11, Railway Cuttings, Croydon CR2 4DL

The need to mention the Party in the imprint is something that is new to me.
