    If they haven't each coughed up by the end of the year, if I were him I would throw in the towel. Good god, he has offered to contribute £10k personally for each MEP that contributes £10k.

    Stuart Wheeler has personally donated 350k to Ukip in recent years. Where did that money go, we wonder? The Isle of Man?

    He has stated that whilst he will continue to support the party, he can no longer do so at that level. He now wants others to donate £50k for an advertising campaign!

    The UKIP's set of accounts is with the Electoral Commission. It tells you exactly where the money went. The bulk went on the general election ~600K, and then about £220k went on staff wages and admin (av. ~20K per head), and then there is a bit here and there, e.g. the conference & by-elections. It all seems pretty reasonable to me. Donations make up the bulk of the income.
