She wasn't found innocent. The evidence was found to be flawed / unsafe, big difference.
However, that said, I had misgivings about this case, and doubted her guilt anyway.
She was found guilty of wrongly accusing a bar owner of the crime though.
Under the Napoleonic code, witch is used in most of mainland Europe, a person is considered guilty, until proven otherwise.
I believe she was cleared of everything except slandering the police, for which she was fined and given a jail sentence for that .. but time served, and so is released. I believe she and Raffaele will now receive compensation. There was no ambiguity about the verdict... it did not hinge just on the unsafe DNA findings, the earlier verdict itself was overthrown.
Bullsh@t, are you trying to say that there are no cases of miscarriages of justice in America? That's why the American system is better than the European system!
Have you any figures to support this line of bullsh@t?
You talk about evidence, ok let's see some evidence to support your statement.
007 - Whether or not Amanda Knox is innocent or guilty is not something I can comment on, but your conspiracy as to why she was jailed is ridiculous. There's far too many conspiracy theories in this world without you adding another one. The Italian Police got their forensic evidence wrong and because of that, the jury had no choice but to acquit Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend, but that doesn't mean to say Amanda Knox is innocent does it? If the Italian Police weren't so useless then justice would have been served for Meredith Kercher's family who must be distraught and who have been largely ignored through this entire media, sensationalistic saga.
The Italian police got caught up in the anti American frenzy whipped up by eu memberstates press about this case.
In the USA this would never have happened, evidence is king in an American court room.
Apparently emotions are more important in a European court.
Then of course the double jeopardy.....
