Default Would you vote Tory for a referendum on EU membership?

If the Conservative party promised to hold a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU if they became the next government, would you vote for them, or stick with your existing party?

Would anyone join/rejoin the Tories on this basis?

I voted 'No' because the Tory Party can only be trusted to break promises.

Would it be a cast iron manifesto pledge, with a promise to back the anti-EU campaign?

Yes. If they gave a date and made pre-arrangements for it to happen.

Well, in that fantasy world that will never happen, I probably would.

If they lied and didn't follow through, it would be the death of them.

I would vote for a Tory in these circumstances in the context of UKIP as a temporary "partner" party fielding its own candidates in some agreed constituencies.

Hell, I'd vote Labour if Gordon promised that with pre-arrangements and a cast-iron date.

Would any of you have voted for Michael Foot or Neil Kinnock to get Britain out of the EU/EEC as it was then?

If Michael Foot had won in 1983 we would probably would be living under a Right Wing dictatorship by now as the millitary would have tolerated him for long.
