Considering the BNP got 17% at the last general election, 40% + in all the wards they contested at the locals and they seem to be on a roll despite the two councillors with debt trouble it is a certainty that they will give Labour a run for their money. Even John Cruddas admits it and two recent articles in the barking and dagenham recorder seem to give them even more credibility.

I dont see how it is possible to say that the BNP will level peg with the socialist workers, i mean come on...

I was kidding about that! The fascists have plainly put lots of work into Barking, and have some core support there which is going to last a while. The point I was making is that they apparently have serious problems too, and are most unlikely to hold their recent levels of support in Barking at any polls held in the near future.

If we are to allow recruitment games via polls, they should surely be in the section marked "POLLS" and not appearing as front page ads for the ED/BNP..

That's all.
And UKIP isn't boring? I've seen more motivation in the local cemetery! 8)
UKIP wasn't boring on 14.6.2004 when the EU elections results were announced - the party's spectacular gains shook the vile europhile metro-'elite' like no other election before in this country since we were forced into the EEC/EU.

Far from being boring, the UKIP 2004 campaign and election triumph was the most exciting thing which has happened in British politics for some years 8) .

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's the Labour Party that's falling apart in Barking not the BNP. With the LibDems and Tories nowhere and UKIP just a joke...
I just thought that I should mention that the Conservatives were only a few hundred votes behind the BNP in the London Borough of Barking/Dagenham local elections in May 2006. I don't think one can say that they (the Conservatives) are "knowhere" (as Edward does above). The Tory vote was spread to thinly across the whole borough (of Barking-Dagenham) to win alot of council wards - but that matters less at a General Election when the division will not be into lots of wards - but which will just be a straight split between the two constituencies which make up the Borough.

Needless to say, it would be nice to see both Hodge (Lie-bour MP for Barking) and Cruddas (Lie-bour MP for Dagenham) kicked out at the next election - a good hard boot from the electorate up their backsides, the pair of them  .

Neither Hodge (wealthy ex-Labour Party leftist Islington councillor) and Cruddas (highly unimpressive MP who replaced the very anti-EU Labour MP Brian Gould who returned to his native New Zealand) have anything in common with the people of Barking-Dagenham Borough.

The Labour Party is a vile anti-English working class party which is now run by the wealthy internationalist (i.e. anti-British) europhile metro-'elite' who have no time at all for the good working class folk of Essex (such as those in Barking-Dagenham).

I agree but the fact is that your support fell to just over 2% when it came to people deciding who to vote for in order to form a governement. People revert back to the old partys or just dont vote becuase they do not see the smaller partys having a chance to win seats and form a government.
