Default UKIP Internet Radio Station

After the popularity of 18 Doughty Street, there was a few discussions on another post on this site by harryaldridge, about introducing a UKIP Internet Radio Station. I am a radio presenter and producer and feel that if we got this going, it would really increase UKIP's profile and would engage another generation of political supporter.

I myself am only 17 and after presenting two shows a week, I feel that if more people got on board, then we would really get this off the ground.

What does everyone think about this idea?

I think this is exactly the sort of area that will be covered by Nigel's media appointment, so am waiting to see what his pronouncements are...

So am I (as an ex-broadcaster) but I'm not holding my breath.

As far as UKIP's leadership are concerned, "New Media" means replacing the Armco on the M1.

I looked at setting up an internet radio station at one point. The software i looked at was http://www.spacialaudio.com/products/sambroadcaster/

My old college used this to run an 'on campus' radio station round the college with wireless access points delivering the stream to mobile devices. It worked very successfully and has all the features needed.

At this stage I think UKIPpers should get behind 18 doughty street and add content, rather than trying for an alternate.

Go for it. It may lead to bigger things in terms of radio broadcasting. If you can make it entertaining you could get a large audience who you can then feed some EU truths.

Of course if the EU get the ultimate power they want you could find yourselves carted off to prison.

It's a very good idea if you want to give the loony left more ammunition against you.

Well we would obviously need the party's support before we ever try to set something like this established, but who would be up for it?
