UKIP Welsh local election results 2008

A couple of missing results were posted on websites today which completed the picture for UKIP Wales.

Congratulations to new UKIP Councillor Janet Griffiths of Rhiw ward, Colwyn Bay Community Council (also known as the Bay of Colwyn Town Council). I had a fair idea she had been elected several days ago but it was only confirmed by the council today.

Particular credit as well to John Bufton for receiving almost 20% and well done to those who beat libdem, lab and tory candidates. Who would ever have thought UKIP could beat a labour candidate in Rhondda? Just a very great shame there were so few candidates overall. I hope the results are clear enough, I aimed to provide sufficient info within a very small space. If that is not to anyones approval the results are all on the internet.

Congratulations and all of our warmest thanks to all who stood in what is traditionally poor ground for us. The presence of PC as well as the other 3 makes life even more difficult and the job so much harder.
