Greens come first in europhile Charles Clarke's Norwich constituency

The Green Party - which opposes the euro - has come first in the number of votes received in the 1.5.2008 local elections in the Norwich constituency of europhile Charles Clarke, the Labour MP and sacked Home Secretary. Clarke's Labour Party was pushed into a humiliating second place behind the Greens who have only a fraction of the number of members Labour have.

Clarke and committed europhile Labour MP Patricia Hewitt (sacked Health Secretary) were the most enthusiastic supporters of the euro in the Blair Government.

The europhile Liberal 'Democrats' were also humiliated in the result in Clarke's seat yesterday

- the were reduced to 5 councillors on Norwich City Council as the Greens took 13 wards.

Labour 15
Greens 13 (+3)

Time for Labour to swamp Norwich with ethnics and immigrants. These people rarely vote Green and can always be relied on to vote Labour. Unlike the BNP (and some branches of UKIP) the Greens will welcome the ethnic invasion with open arms despite it being suicidal to them.
