But not nearly enough support to win last week, thankfully.

Boris Johnson MP got more first preference votes than europhile EX-MAYOR of London got first and second preference votes.

I am just listening to a 'phone in (Talksport Radio):

Mike Mendoza (presenter): Do you feel sorry for him (Livingstone)?

Nigel (regular caller in London): No - not at all. He is arrogant. Crime up, congestion charge mess. He does not have the interests of Londoners at heart - only some of them. He is only interested in inner London.

Personally I'm not that thankful. I think at a push I'd choose Livingstone, at least we can be sure he wouldn't get lost on the way from his bedroom to the toilet.

I thought that would be your view.

This is what a Livingstone supporter just said in his 'phone-call to Mike Mendoza's Talksport radio programme: "('Ken') Livingstone was a good Mayor but Boris (Johnson) is a smart man."

There's no need to write silly comments now is there, just because you voted for an idiot over a slightly less idiotic person.

Johnson is a moron get used to it.

Nothing silly in what I am writing - it is you who are using not very nice words when referring to Mr. Johnson.

You will notice that I do not criticise europhile Livingstone as a person - I write here against his political views and policies: not him as an individual.

And you notice I don't really criticise Boris' political views because they are not much better than Ken's. I simply notice he is an idiot and I feel free to state it.
