Nigel (regular caller in London): No - not at all. He is arrogant. Crime up, congestion charge mess. He does not have the interests of Londoners at heart - only some of them. He is only interested in inner London.

Personally I'm not that thankful. I think at a push I'd choose Livingstone, at least we can be sure he wouldn't get lost on the way from his bedroom to the toilet.

You will notice that I do not criticise europhile Livingstone as a person - I write here against his political views and policies: not him as an individual.
