BBC Question Time

The BBC have just screened their weekly Question Time programme featuring Red Ken, Boris and Brian Paddick.

Why is it that these where the only 3 individuals on Qusestion Time?

Surely all candidates should have appeared?

The LIb Dems have never done well in the London Mayoral elections and independent polls suggest they will do no better this year but the are being paraded around on the BBC as if they are in this race.

come on BBC give all parties the same coverage and lets see a fair race!!

I must admit it did seem odd to only have the 3 candidates, although to be fair to the BBC they're probably the only 3 candidates with any chance of being elected. They might have considered an hour insufficient to warrant inviting all/more of the candidates on to the show (once you invite some minor parties - can you really justify not inviting the rest?)

I don't know why they bothered with Paddick - he seemed well out of his depth and completely inept. Batten would have made a much more suitable and welcome replacement.

They could at least have offered a 1 minute pre-recorded slot to each of the other candidates. Apart from promoting our democracy, it would have made for a much less tedious programme.

1 in 5 people voted for Labour in the last election. Less for the other mugs.

This whole system is a scam. We don't have a democracy, we have a rigged shell game.
