Default Liberal Party in Bournemouth

The Liberal Party
Ø Opposes Animal Experimentation
Ø Says NO to Identity Cards and the intrusive state.
Ø Wants significant NATIONAL investment in PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
Ø Would protect small shops and retain the character of our high streets.

We have a different vision of Europe.

The Liberal Party philosophy and polices are quite different from those of the Liberal Democrats. We would keep the British £ and get us out of the mess of the European Union! We believe in what the British people signed up for - a community, or “commonwealth” of independent countries. The Liberal Democrats believe in a United States of Europe. They voted with Labour to deny you the referendum on the Lisbon Treaty they promised!

Europe IS an issue in this by-election as before very long there won’t be any point in holding elections in this country.

If you are angry about being sold out on Europe please consider using your vote more productively by voting for the Liberal Party candidate experienced in doing the job rather than a single-issue candidate.

The Liberal Party supports the United Nations and Fair Trade. Places people first, not the interests of big business.

Welcome Bournemouthlibs. Is that Bill, by any chance?

That's a useful brief summary of Liberal Party policy. Not comprehensive, of course, but still handy.

"The Liberal Party in Bournemouth... Would hold a referendum and if necessary pull down the IMAX!" (what ever that is)

But Liberal policy is opposed to referenda except for constitutional change and the Lisbon Treaty!

'We are opposed to the use of referenda. It is dangerous to pretend that issues can be settled by a simple question with a yes or no answer. Our alternative is to use a form of jury system, where representative groups of several hundred people (selected by scientific sampling methods) consider issues in depth over a period of several days and are able to question experts before giving their views'
