Default Clegg - classic case of depression

Looking at the photos of Clegg over a number of months, he seems to be clinically depressed.

Whether this is because he knows he is not up the job, or that he foresaw the unravelling of the Lib Dems' credibility as voters realised what a shower of nasty opportunists they are is not wholly clear.

Clegg should resign and go back to Brussels and his beloved EU Commission.

He and his racist party have nothing to offer the English - and the Scots and Welsh votes show that they are no longer being deceived by Lib Dem opportunism either.

Yep job done. Wreaked his party after steering for bright government lights on fatal foreshore. Destroyed most of smaller parties faith in the democratic system used in this country, I did not say democracy because many do not believe it exists here in UK. All these political clones only have the interests of the current ruling class to the fore. Nothing to do with old class system because it don't exist anymore we are a one party three headed state. One head took a bash but it will not worry the beast at all.

Fair point - where I grew up the only party that ever bothered with the local people was the Liberals. Labour were insignificant and Tories too arrogant to think they would ever lose, but did in the end... No pity for the MPs though that lied to their voters.

Yes but Cameron has come out smiling. It shows the man has considerably more intelligence than Clegg. I see this AV vote as a case of what they call the 'hearts and minds' factor. To lead the country successfully you need the support of the common man, and the common man does not like some upstart fiddling with an election system that is as old as the hills and one of the defining qualities of the British state. Cameron has shifted into that sort after position of all aspiring politicians, indeed last seen in this country when Lady Thatcher defeated the Stalinist unions and returned some of Britain's former glory. Whether he manages that or not is all down to a few more wins. Interestingly he has not been punished for the ‘cuts’ he has introduced. I think the socialists have misjudged the country on that. They know Brown was heading for an economic meltdown. So Cameron is under a lot of pressure, but if in 4 years time the economy has turned around, like it did in the early 80s, then he will possibly achieve the same landslide as Lady Thatcher did. Mind you he could always screw up on something and blow it. Besides this is a political matter, and in my view he is a more adept at politics than he is at economics. He had a great man to sort out business in the form of Lord Young, but he was sacked because he made a joke. I’m not kidding either. You are not allowed to tell jokes in Blighty anymore.

    Speaking about the Lib Dems.
Hmmmm ... I don't know is there in English the word 'selfdismembered' ? In any case from now on you can use the word 'clegg' instead.

LOL, if this coalition has done nothing it has shown Vince Cable that front line politics is a little different from pontificating on QT.
It is not racist to be concerned about immigration.

The National Liberals are a REAL alternative for people who value their Civil Liberties but think we should have an EU referendum NOW!
