The Tories want to tie up the police and prosecutors in red tape so that we would take years rather than days extradite rapists and robbers on the run.

Compare this to their "Freedom Bill":

We should not be extraditing people to stand trial in a foreign country without evidence being presented to a British judge to prove there is a real (prima facie) case against them and the judge decides that it is in the best interests of justice to do so.

... which is exactly what European Arrest Warrants allow.

Well spotted subspace. Apparently a person can also be tried and convicted in their absence.

I've often wondered why this mob call themselves the 'Liberal Democrats'. I think it was the LibDumb Baroness Fulford who signed up children to fingerprinting for Schengen.

We also have Andrew Duff referring to the European Parliament as a place for 'Post National Democracy'

Incidentally subspace, it's a great piece of information to have on the doorstep while campaigning; these particular hypocrites always make a point of how worried they are about human rights. I'm going to pass your post around, I hope you don't mind.

Some of their MEP are boasting about the Euro arrest warrant on their Leaflets.

Funny but I haven't received a leaflet from the LibDems or the Tories for that matter. I've heard from UKIP, the Greens, and Labour
