Clegg seems a nice guy, although clearly misguided in certain areas.

If he can really get his act together the Skidmark is dead in the water.

Brown/Clegg coalition for the next ten years I think I might join those thinking of leaving the country!

It wouldn't last ten years - maybe not even ten months. The Liberals (now Liberal 'Democrats') cannot be trusted: former Labour Prime Minister The Late James Callaghan found that out in the late 1970's when he forged the Lib/Lab Pact to remain in power but found (not to everyones' surprise) that the Liberals broke their word and let the Pact collapse.

However, I notice that Clegg's pro-EU Liberal Dims are (sadly) performing well in local council ward By-Elections at this particular time. Despite the lead the Cameron-Conservatives have in the national opinion polls, they (the Cameron-Conservatives) are not winning or holding that many wards at the moment in local votes.

Don't worry it won't last! His surge of popularity now, is only because those old Lib Dem ladies are getting "Damp Knickers", because he's such a "Nice young man"

Although a coalition between Lab and Lib Dem did last in Soctland for 8 years, they are an unscurpulous lot though the Lib dems and of course we do have this example of the 1970s as well. They will do whatever they think brings them the most advantage

I think we will see a voting colaition between Lab and Lib Dem on the new EU treaty as regards blocking any Tory ammendement on a referendum.
