Last I heard, they were still against a referendum, but key LD figures were trying to persuade Ming to support one.

LDs are the biggest load of hypocrites going - how can you be 'liberal' and 'democratic' and talk about 'local decision making and decentralisation of power' - yet be against a referendum?

Default

With some Labour MPS set to defy the party line on this yet again as with the bill to ratify the treaty of Rome and several key votes on the treaty of Masstricht the Lib Dems could agian ensure legislation is rammed through the commons ignoring the wishes of the voters.

If they vote against a referndum I hope they pay for it in terms of lost seats.

Well said - so do I.

I have, so far, only heard of one MP in that party who is reported to be campaigning for a referendum on the EU 'Amending' 'Treaty' - Michael Hancock (Portsmouth South constituency).

Exactly - there is nothing Liberal or Democratic about them - they are the anti-freedom and anti-democracy party who work as the political arm of the EU in our country.
