Default Could the Lib Dems be taken over by Eurosceptics?

As UKIP flounders it occurs to me that some talents might be better employed building up a Eurosceptic faction within the LibDems.

It's imposible to do this within the Tory Party, where ordinary members have no control over policy, but the LD party is much more democratic and therefore possibly open to change.

Default Liberal Dims, EU, eurosceptic

The people that make up the Liberal Dim membership would rather their party collapse than it go eurosceptic or anti-EU. The main reason that party exists for is to promote the EU and to act as the political arm of the EU in the UK.

Anyone who tried to get the Liberal Dims to change from their obsessive pro-EU stance would be wasting their time.

Apart from all that - the Liberal Dims are a nasty bunch best avoided.

I can assure you that this is not the case at national level. Certain policies and ideologies of the Lib-Dems are carved in stone. They are not a democratic party unless you are prepared to embrace large amounts of their ideology.

They are anti EU. I was tempted to vote for a Liberal candidate standing in the EU Elections back in 1999. She was extremely good and gave Michael Holmes a run for his money.

I think one of them is to reintroduce Patchwork Quilting ladies circles.

Another is to make it compulsory for each Male to produce a minimum 100 gallons of scrumpy per annum.
