Default Time for a referendum on the EU

The demand from the British public for a referendum on the EU has been growing stronger for some considerable time now. I find it very disappointing that all the main political parties have taken the same stance on this issue and refuse to give the people their democratic right to be heard. Labour, under both Blaire and Brown have mislead and fudged the issue for 13 years, only for Cameron to follow suite and deflect arguments in favour of such a referendum. This one issue is of such paramount importance to the future direction of British politics that a failure to follow the democratic process is extremely worrying. There are many Labour supporters who would wish either to leave the EU or at the very least hold a vote to put the matter to rest once and for all. I include a link below to a new and rapidly growing party "Freedom Democrats", which promises the British people the referendum they are calling for.

I was wondering what the general consensus was for English (GT users) people, regarding calls for a referendum on getting out of the EU.

What are your views on it?
Is it wise to bailout at this time, or should we wait a few years?
Are our relations with the EU a priceless thing?
Can we survive on our own?
