Don’t all three parties these days try to appeal to the right and left electorate?

If they did then they would be constantly contradicting themselves all of the time and look like fools, as in for example we want a big and a small government that taxes a lot and a little and we love those horrible grammar schools and want to control immigration by letting as many immigrants in as possible.

What if a person was for open borders and high immigration, but felt very strongly that the 40% tax rate should be lowered.
How would you class this person politically?
    Higher rate: 40%
    Tax year 2009-10: Over £37,400
    Tax year 2010-11: £37,401-£150,000
    Tax year 2011-12: £35,001-£150,000

I would describe them as far right neo con!

Open Border supporters (Globalists) cut across the politcal spectrum; its time people broke away from the idea that immigration is about 'right and 'left' wing.

Many anti immigrationists are ex Labour supporters and basically left wing, but a little bit nationalist too.

Which of the 3 main political parties would suit this individual the best?
Or would more information be required to make that decision?

Any one would do! However Tories are probably his best hope for tax cuts.

    None have said all three.

The Tories want to reduce the number of new immigrants arriving to "tens of thousands", Ed has said cut VAT to stimulate the economy, the Tories have cut/are cutting government expenditure by 20% but say no tax cuts yet. The Lib Dems just opposes anything unless it is damaging to Britain. Their general line is to increase taxes. Do you remember that penny on income tax thing they went on about for ages? Now they are in the coalition they have agreed to spending cuts but they want a ‘mansion tax’.
