In the local elections in the area containing the odious Ed Balls constituency, the Labour Party polled FEWER votes than the BNP!
Somehow this fact doesn't seem to be getting much publicity though I can't think why.

Madame Tussauds in London is loath to cast a waxwork of Gordon Brown due to complaints that he wasn't voted into office and also that he might not be Prime Minister long enough to make it worthwhile.
To help them make up their minds, Madame Tussauds is running a poll asking people to vote on whether they should bother or not.

In the Republic of South Yorkshire, many have not voted anything else but Labour. The recent Council elections have seen a shift towards BNP and even the Green Party. What other choices have they ? Lib-Dem

They are very traditional and will do what their fathers did who did what their fathers did. I suppose they are living in the past and long before New Labour was invented.

The Sun reported recently that if Gordon Brown actually did go, Labour would be doing much worse, even if Blair returned. The most-hated seem to be Ed Balls and Harriet Harman in their poll, which mirrors my opinion exactly, although in my eyes they are all as bad as each other, hopeless at running the country

UKIP got almost 900 votes in some wards it contested in Rotherham ('south' Yorkshire) on 1.5.2008. They were the highest votes in the country for UKIP on that day.

Anti-UKIP europhile Labour MP Denis MacShane (who was sacked as 'Europe' Minister from the Blair Government) represents Rotherham in the House of Commons.
