Brief extract from the article on the link in the first posting to this thread:

"Gordon Brown remains the man most people want to lead the country after his New Year relaunch, a Sun poll reveals today. Voters choose the PM over David Cameron as their favourite to steer the UK through 2008’s choppy waters. Our IPSOS Mori poll puts him 4% ahead of the Tory as “most capable” PM. He also has an 18% lead on handling a crisis best and is 6% on understanding problems facing Britain." (End of quote from the Sun)

The poll in today's Sun puts support for the parties nationally at:

Conservatives 42%
Labour 32%
Liberal Dims 15%
'Others' 11%

1006 adults were interviewed by pollster IPSOS on 9th/10th January, 2008.

The poll is not good news for the europhile Liberal Dims

- they would have been hoping for an electoral boost having just picked a new leader.

We only need to look at the US to see the massive voting fraud that is taking place to know that the media at times is comprised of total lies.

I have not in the last year spoken to anyone who supports the Labour party, and my occupation puts me in touch with a wide variety of people.

Hip Hip horay the Lib Dems are still down.
Good to see the others on 11%

In 1979 Callaghan was personally more popular that Mrs Thatcher but the Torys still won, I am sure Cameron hopes he can achieve similar leads in the polls throughout this year to keep the government on the back foot and to give the impression to people that he can win.

I couldn't agree more! Everyone I meet, ( and all my friends aren't UKIP) everyone to a man and woman hate this Labour government with a passion!

Next week the polls will say Cameron is the best choice for leader I don't rate such polls especially where a party leader is concerned.

These days I don't rate any polls on any subject! I have heard all polls have a slant on them and how can a poll of 1001 people give an accurate picture as to how the whole Country is thinking! People in real life just do not change their minds as often as polls suggest!

This poll was carried out in the cabinet room of Downing St. at 1030 this morning. the last question asked was "do you like your present ministerial post"
