Surely if in the case of third party donations to political parties all original donors identity have to be declared.
Then every time that the unions hand over cash sums over to any party then a total list of all union members who pay the political levy must be handed over each time also? Which :- 1) Might well contravene data protection 2) Must reflect at each donation time the changing membership details on an everchanging basis and must be totally correct and acurrate each time 3) Any previous donations since the current legislation came in that didn't contain this information must be illegal? |

I wouldn't think so, because surely then the same would apply to businesses (and shareholders)?
