Hmm I have mixed feelings over EH these days. I've known some EH staff and they get paid ****.99% of their staff are great but I've seen some off-hand with the re-enactors who give up their time for free.
They seem to also be running their trust more and more like a company and less like a charity.

Yup, but that's the way of things it seems. My dealings with EH staff have always been positive and when - finally -things start moving they can be very supportive.

No idea how much they are paid though.
