Funny isn't it? the only other place in the world where salvery is STILL a major issue, is in the muslim dominated saharan Africa area of the present day! Of course, little mention will be made of the role played by Islam in the continued use of slaves.

Anyway, Liverpool's 'wealth' (as usual, such wealth never reached the general population) was made in cotton, tobacco, and sugar, not in slaves, which were a far less valuable commodity, and simply the initial aspect of the triangular trade route, supplied courtesy of the local African chiefs! Very few of the slaves ever reached Liverpool, and very few of the still relatively small afro-caribean population in Liverpool today, is actually decendend from slavery in Liverpool.

Liverpool's popuation explosion and expansion occurred AFTER slavery was abolished. So the whole debacle is just another 'have a go at whitey', and further implant the idea of self-guilt. Achieve that, and manipulating a population into political self-harm becomes a piece of cake. Buy them off with bread and circuses and the job is complete.

What a bunch of total to**ers.

The self proclaimed "anti racists" of the left, I have found, are more likely the most racist of all. Their "cause" is just a compensation for their own feelings of racism against those who look or act differently to themselves. They are wracked by the guilt of their feelings of racism that they try to hide it by going in the completely opposite direction. There was a study carried out a while ago which involved volunteers having their brains monitored for negative signals when various faces of their own and other races were flashed in front of them. Those who said that they were not racist seemed to have he most negativity toward the features of other ethnic groups.
