Why would they bother, is my thinking. Brown is pledged to carry on with the Jekyll and Hyde socialism of New Labour. Personally I think New Labour's cringing approach to capitalism is disgusting. I'm all in favour of free enterprise, a great fan of Alan Sugar, etc, etc.
But New Labour has an appalling record on making a petty thief look like an upstanding economist, financial wizard and allround good monetarist. Why would ANYONE want to go back? |
