Cameron told 'Tony' Bliar at Prime Minister's Question Time today at 12.15 pm "The Hon. Member's (Blair's) former 'Europe' adviser in Downing Street, Sir Stephen Wall, said on the BBC's political obituary to Blair last night ('Blair: The Inside Story' on BBC 2 Television at 9 m to 10 pm on 6.3.2007) that (quote) you got the very clear impression that the Prime Minster (Blair) could not get on with Gordon Brown - but could not get by without him (End of quote)."
Blair - looking very embarrassed and unusually shifty (even by his standards  ) - replied "2.5 million more jobs, lowest unemployment, lowest inflation, highest living standards..." Britannist adds: Sir Stephen Wall is a committed europhile. Good to see all the europhiles squabbling with each other. |

His mantra about jobs is about as boring as "well...yeah...look!".
It's an economy built on shifting cash around on a much better basis than Nick Leeson did at Barings Bank. The trouble is the Treasury can't really file for bankruptcy but it is not something you want to privatise and have shares in!
