They'll be a 'stage contest' but as you hint there won't be a real one.
At least the Tories had several differing characters with 3 or 4 potential winners. In many ways 'Left wingers' are the worst in holding open and democratic internal party contests. Well, you can take Labour away from Old Socialism... |

I think most of them think that Gordon Brown would win a leadership contest against other candidates so they think there is no point in them getting in his bad books by standing against him (for the leadership) - because they all want jobs from him in the first Brown Cabinet.
What creeps. |
