Default Mandelson warns Labour over Europe

http://www.epolitix.com/EN/News/2007...6ab9a7bd0a.htm

Quote:
In comments aimed at Gordon Brown's eurosceptic stance, Peter Mandelson has called for Britain to take its place at the heart of Europe.

The European trade commissioner used an interview on BBC Radio 4's Today programme to say that closer ties with Europe should be made a key battleground at the next general election.
First good idea this plank has ever had.

Quote:
But, writing in The Guardian, he said that the challenge of globalisation required Britain to team up with its European neighbours and embrace the EU as a "multiplier of diminished power".
Weasle words. The EU has been doing the diminishing in the first place. I bet all the nations in it would be in much better condition now, if they had just joined EFTA instead!

Quote:
"The realities of globalisation are shifting the debate on to more favourable ground for pro-Europeans because of the lack of national solutions to its challenges," Mandelson wrote.
Again trying to make it out as pro-Europe. Anyone getting the slightest bit concerned over the global warming scam with this line yet? What he means is you need one fascist one world government, forcing the ex-nations into compliance, communist compliance.

Quote:
"The same principle is true in dealing with the economic superpowers of Asia, or for our armed forces to share more and do more together under European defence.
None of that requires political union, only co-operation if deemed benficial by democracies. He is saying a dictatorship in the middle is required.

Quote:
"How, post Iraq, can we establish a more equal relationship with the US except by putting more effort into building common European positions, as we have done on Iran?"
Ah, the good old jealousy thing again. How can we get one over on the Yanks. How about by not wrecking the countries in Europe and then working together if need be? Oh no, this has to be a dictatorship from the centre again. 1984 eat your heart out.

Quote:
Mandelson argued that Britain was converging with the continent as UK public spending approached EU levels and Europe became more British in its attitudes towards market reforms.
Did he say that without laughing. The spending is by design, tell the market reforms bit to "old Europe". What a ****.

Quote:
He added: "Another lesson is for Labour itself to ponder as it debates its future: without an effective and accountable EU, with Britain at its heart, the party's capacity to fulfil its progressive ambitions will be severely diminished."
Ah, the initial volley in the removal of Westmister as any kind of authority and a full hand over to the direct power via the regions. Of course cushy little roles will be found for all the traitors that help the sell out. Accountable EU? He'll have to explain in detail how that will work, across a whole continent.

Quote:
A Britain sidelined from the European agenda would be "disastrous", he said. "We must have the confidence to make a pro-Europe, pro reform-in-Europe stance a key battleground at the next election."
Weasle words again. Reform in Europe is the last thing this tosser wants. More power for a centralised dictaorship and further weakening of democracies, to the point where they are completely helpless to act in the future.

The only real question in my mind, is where does Brown REALLY sit with all this? Is he really at odds with Blair and his Nu-Labour creating buddies like Mandelson? Or is that just another puppet show, put on for our benefit to con us into thinking he might do the decent thing?

Browns talk about NWO and the rumours of his visits to Bilderberg don't fill me with confidence.

Default Mandelson should not talk on UK politics

I'm quite sure that there is a rule of Peter Meddlesome's employment as an EU Commissioner that he must not speak on or interfere in the internal domestic affairs of any EU member nation - most especially his own.

He must not talk on any matter which is - or is linked to - party politics. His brief is 'europe'.

Talking about what policies Gordon Brown and the Labour Party should have regarding the EU may well be a breach of the rules of party political impartiality which govern his (Mandelson's) job.

UKIP MAN is just starting out
Default

Its my fault, about 4 years ago I was delivering to a restuarant in central london just down the side of parliament square and this bloke stepped out in front of me, opened his car door and took out a jacket.

Because I am such a good driver I swerved and missed the person, it was only a fraction of a second later that I saw his face and wished that I had not swerved but it was to late, from that position I could never had got away with it.

If I could have turned back time, just 10 seconds would have done it

this story is true and I regret to this day being such a good driver

If you hadn't missed, you would have probably been voted in as party leader by now for services to your Country! Couldn't you have said you had a bee in the car and you are terrified of bees and just took your eyes off the road for a second!
