Hi TannyD Thanks for the welcome
..........Hartleypool fabulous Photos , i cant imagine the sort of fight a Tarpon would put up on a AFTM 9 Fly rod, especially one of 40/50 LBS, that must have been a B***'s breaker, the little'uns on the sand flats would do me.It really is a shame that we dont have fish of that calibre in our waters but who knows with the planet warming up we may soon see some Stripped Bass and Tarpon off the Eddystone with any luck. lol. Thanks for letting me see the photos, brilliant.

Hi Tombstone TY for the welcome.
Your best bet Tombstone is to give it a go after June/ July when the River Tamar comes into its own with Rays, Wrasse, Pollack, Macks, Conger and Bass, if you are shore fishing head for the Cornish side and a place named Mount Edgecombe, The shoreline is easily fished and is the deepest part of the river, the best bait is peelers or spinners. Good Luck..........B
