But someone who chooses the name tombstone suggests they have a sense of humour. Let's hope so.

So,just for clarity here AC,exactly how much English is someone with a surname like yours?

Perhaps you could be deemed a mixed up, depressed Brit/non Brit as well?

Just intrested

Just wandered back wondering if anyone had replied to my introduction and find myself the starter of a row.

Answers to your questions:-

1. I am neither English, Brit or anything else. I am from Yorkshire

2. Tombstone is a name I chose to denote the end of English sovereingty in my lifetime, left blank for whosoever to add a fitting epitaph.

Is it b*****ks

It's my old school nickname.

My Constantine family line comes from Sheffield metal workers in a direct line going back to the 1750s. The last one working in industy there (nothing grand) was my grandfather who could make stunning silverware.

There were Constantines in Yorkshire for centures before, but I could not at the time (this was in the late 1970s) make the link. A retirement project for me to take the family history back to them.

Our family always regarded themselves as English and not British. I think most English people did have an English identity, until post WW2.

I thought the name was Greek,or from the Eastern med at least, surprised at the English connection going back so far.

I would suggest that we will for ever be post WW2,so,that's great isn't it?

We will also always be British,English,Irish,Scottish and Welsh as well,no change then.

That's great isn't it?
