There were Constantines in Yorkshire for centures before, but I could not at the time (this was in the late 1970s) make the link. A retirement project for me to take the family history back to them. Our family always regarded themselves as English and not British. I think most English people did have an English identity, until post WW2.

I thought the name was Greek,or from the Eastern med at least, surprised at the English connection going back so far.
I would suggest that we will for ever be post WW2,so,that's great isn't it? We will also always be British,English,Irish,Scottish and Welsh as well,no change then. That's great isn't it? |
